I have been working on ships since 2007 when I moved to Rhode Island. I studied Ocean Engineering right here at University of Rhode Island for 6 years. Later I began working in the Antarctic as a Marine Electronics Technician, honing my trade in one of the harshest environments in the world. Now I have started Williwaw so that I can make my home in Rhode Island again and keep working on the boats that I love.
I have a PhD in Ocean Engineering and 5 years of experience working on icebreakers in the Southern Ocean. I work according to the National Marine Electronics Association’s (NMEA) standards and am credentialed as a NMEA Basic Marine Electronics Installer and a NMEA 2000 Installer.
I understand how critical your electronics are to your safety and enjoyment out on the water. My education and experience mean I can provide you with the highest quality service.
